One of the sweetest horses on the farm, Captain commands attention with his majestic old style charm and stunning good looks.  Imported from England as a two year old, he is by Landcliffe Aristocrat and out of Foxoaks Legacy. A beautiful neck and shoulder, great top line, heavy bone, and super thick feather are some of his best qualities.  He moves with much knee and hock action and is a great example of a hitch horse.

A wonderful ambassador for the Shire breed, Captain has a special love for children and enjoys being surrounded by kids, making his favorite job babysitting!  Captain made 2012 PA Farm Show history when he and his teammate Jag placed 2nd in Mated Team Halter as this was just the second year that shires competed!  See our News page for more details.

Chestnut Oak Farm proudly announces the addition of a gorgeous team of English Imported Black Shire Geldings, Ruskington Charlie (Captain) & Deighton Panther (Jaguar).  These two large majestic boys will make quite a statement here at the farm and we have "big" plans for them.  Giving sleigh rides and wagon rides are top on the priority list, but that may just be the beginning!  Keep checking back to see the excitement unfold and watch these two beauties as they make their debut!

Sired by none other than the amazing Gypsy Horse stallion, GSF Keebler, by legendary Gypsy Horse, The Bishop, who resides in Germany, and out of our Champion Shire mare, Steege’s Beth, who’s grandsire is legendary Champion Shire Stallion, Rhyd-Y-Groes Premier King!  What a pedigree!

Rightfully named “THE EXHIBITIONIST”, this flashy colt is absolute perfection and is sure to turn heads and attract attention wherever he goes! Nicknamed “Moon” as he has a white moon shaped patch on his forehead and several throughout his body.

Very flashy and uniquely colored 80% black, 20% white tobiano, these mostly blacks are hard to find! “Moon” has outstanding conformation, an elegant modern build, short back with long legs, and should mature close to 17hh!  Has a beautiful refined head and loads of mane and feather!

Super quiet and so sweet, sweet, sweet, this absolutely adorable colt has a puppy dog personality and just begs for hugs and kisses! Extremely laid back and easy to work with! Having a beautiful extended trot, natural collection and super smooth movement this boy will be especially suited for Dressage, Jumping, Eventing, English/Western Pleasure, Driving, Trick Training, Parades, and of course, Exhibitions! This high quality gelding is sure to be one of the “Greats” of the Drum Horse breed.
