2010 PA Horse World Expo a Success!
posted on Mar 05, 2010

Scott & Wendy Rager of Chestnut Oak Farm attended the 2010 PA Horse World Expo February 25-28, held at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA

"We represented our farm as well as the American Drum Horse Association". It was a huge success and we were very pleased with the turnout of horse enthusiasts as we received many compliments on how elegant and nice our booth looked!

As we handed out the ADHA informational brochures, I was amazed that most people had never even heard of Drum Horses, so being there was a definite asset and great promotion of the breed. The Equine Journal stopped by as well as channel 11 and we had the pleasure of chatting with world renown Dressage trainer, Julio Mendoza of Maryland (former of Equador), who was smitten with the Drum Horse breed.

Our 10 month old Drum Horse colt, "The Exhibitionist" was exhibited on breed row and was a great ambassador for the breed, standing quietly as children and adults alike stepped into the stall to pet him. He was also a crowd favorite during the Parade of Breeds Demo held each day.

Tara Kaufman (family friend), Brittany Hunter-Folk (daughter of Scott & Wendy), Olivia Hunter (daughter of Scott & Wendy), Austin Rager (son of Scott & Wendy), and Melody Folk (mother-in-law of Brittany), were all helping to promote the breed and work in the booth. We appreciate their time and effort and look forward to further promotion of this wonderful new breed, The American Drum Horse!
