Chestnut Oak Farm proudly presents our young Gypsy Vanner stallion, Rosewater Cassidy, nicknamed “Sid”. This boy has outstanding bloodlines and is a superb example of his breed. His sire is the magnificant Gypsy Vanner stallion BSG Taliesin, owned by Big Sky Gypsy & Drum Horses in Montana, and grandsire is legendary Gypsy stallion, The Bishop, who resides in Germany. Sid’s dam is the beautiful Gypsy Cob mare, Clononeen Sinead, owned by Rosewater Gypsy Farm in Wisconsin. Both his sire and dam were imported.

Sid has excellent conformation, with a solid thick neck, short back, and a great amount of bone! His flashy 50/50 coloring, striped mane, and crazy amounts of silky hair and feather are a few of this beautiful boy’s best qualities. In the winter, he sports a full beard and long curly mustache! His super quiet, easy-going nature only adds to his incredible presence. Perhaps even better is his huge extended stride and awesome knee action! When it comes to movement, this boy’s is extremely athletic and carries himself with grace and style. He moves with great agility and elegance!

UPDATE:  Sid's first ever foal was born 5/16/10, a black & white flashy Drum Horse filly named "Chestnut Oak's Flash of Pearl".  He also sired a black blagdon w/three white stockings Drum Horse colt named "Chestnut Oak's Royal David" on 5/18/10.  Both foals are of impeccable quality and have the WOW factor like their daddy!  Sid is also expecting three more foals in spring 2011 and settles his mares with the first breeding!
