We are extremely proud to announce that "The Exhibitionist of Chestnut Oak" aka 'Moon' competed at the prestigious 2016 Dressage at Devon PA Horse Show on 9/29/16, winning 3rd Place in the IBC Drum Horse classs sponsored by International Drum Horse Association with a score of 73.125%! Moon was presented and shown in-hand by his owner/breeder Wendy Rager.

Chestnut Oak Farm's homebred Premium Drum horse gelding "The Exhibitionist of Chestnut Oak" aka Moon, attended his 1st USDF Dressage Show on 7/9/16 winning Reserve Champion and collecting a total of 334 points! He received 1st place in USDF Introductory Level Test A, 2nd place in USDF Introductory Level Test B, and 2nd place in Introductory Level Test C. This 7 year old beauty and his rider Amy Stoltzfus scored well in Introductory Level Test A, B, & C at the Williamsport Riding Club, Williamsport PA. His 1st time under saddle in any show ring, Moon took everything in stride and we couldn't be more proud of this boy and his accomplishments!

Meet our homebred Premium Drum Horse Gelding The Exhibitionist of Chestnut Oak aka 'Moon'. This flashy boy is absolute perfection. He is a crowd favorite, turning heads and attracting attention wherever he goes! Nicknamed “Moon” as he has a white moon shaped patch on his forehead and several others on his body. He is uniquely colored 80% black, 20% white tobiano. Moon has excellent conformation, an elegant modern build with good bone, superb rhythmic movement with both extension and suspension and a super smooth trot. Moon stands 17hh, with a thick long mane and tail and nice feathering on his legs. He also has one of the most beautiful heads we've seen on any horse!

Moon is the friendliest horse we have ever met.  He will leave his buddies and food behind just to be with his human companions. He has amazing patience and will stand for hours to be brushed and spend time with people. He is trained in Halter, English Pleasure, Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, and Ground Driving and has had four months of professional Dressage training. Moon has attended many open and breed shows; local, regional, and international, including the Feathered Horse Classic in PA, Dressage at Devon PA, USDF Dressage Shows, local fairs, parades, and horse camps.  He will continue with his training in the discipline of dressage.

RARE XX PRETTY BAY ROANED DAPPLED W20 DRUM COLT WILL BE HUGE TO MAKE 17HH THICK THICK FEATHER! (E/e, A/a, W20/W20) born 3/5/17. Chestnut Oak's March Flash is super fancy, with a striking presence. He has a rare bay roaned dappled coat with loads of chrome and four high white stockings, white belly, a white lightening bolt that extends up over his left hip, and a white lightening bolt that extends up his right side! He has an XX pretty head with a wide blaze, tipped ears, and a beautiful blue right eye.

Flash is sired by our Silver Buckskin Gypsy stallion Sir Royal RIO Grande (Sir Royal Excalibur, Coates Oliver grandson) and out of our top quality black shire mare Lady Sara's Dottie (Forest Hills Bremer daughter). He has top bloodlines on both sides.  He has heavy bone, a short back, and tons of hair and feathering and will be a tall boy with projected height of 17hh! Chestnut Oak's Arbiter "Arby" (vintage maple drums made in Britain) is a two year old Superior Quality Homozygous Black Drum Gelding sired by Rosewater Cassidy "Sid" out of Steege's Zena born on 5/18/15.  Arby is all black with the exception of two even white socks on his hind legs and a cute narrow blaze. He looks like he's wearing a pair of white boots! Chestnut Oak's Blue Dahlia is a gorgeous Black & White Tobiano GYPSY VANNER filly born 5/12/16, by Dancing Dreams Romeo (Nobby, The Hustler lines) out of SWF Blue Iris (The Gypsy King, Cushti Bok lines). Dahlia is a granddaughter of the famous VV Deja Blue who excels in Dressage. TOP NOTCH PEDIGREE! Jaguar has a sweet, comical personality and enjoys entertaining guests with his playful demeanor.  His large amounts of hair and feather coupled with his showy attitude give him a beautiful fantasy look. He has pure English bloodlines and was imported from England as a yearling. He and his teammate Captain made 2012 PA Farm Show history when they won 2nd place in Mated Team Halter, as this was only the second year that shires competed, the first was our own shire mare Steege's Zena, who won 1st place in Clydesdale/Shire Halter mare class! Jaguar is trained in halter, to ride, and he and teammate Captain give sleigh and wagon rides at our farm. Easy to work around and has excellent ground manners. He is UTD on everything.
